The Best of TV

Filipino TV has amazed me once again. I've had a bit of a cold this week so I've been spending all my time after work in the hotel. Mostly I try and sleep it off while drinking loads of tea and studying for a certification exam, but when I get a break it is time to catch up on my TV watching.

And the winner this time? Televised cock fights.

They didn't have cock fighting in the part of Georgia I grew up in (so far as I know), so this was all new to me. I don't really see the allure of it, so I guess it isn't for everyone.

Swimming in the Philippines

This post was going to be about how disorganized the Philippines is and how I never want to move to Manila. I had so much to say, and then I turned on the TV. What I saw made me immediately call my brother (his work responsibilities at Turner include Cartoon Network).

According to him, it's not even on the UK yet, but they have it here. This, after all my griping for the last two years. So I get this email from him this morning:
